Hello guy’ s i open new section on QR For newbie.
for undestand better this project and for response of your question.

Start with a some clarification.

Quadrap project born 2 year ago and continue to improve for this community are some messy and for thisi decide to open this section.

This project started with all make at flat with lathe and drill press and full story are described on “How to build it in a flat” of Dr. Shauki.

After this original QR start to use no common Square profile but T profile or V profile and born #motediusQR and #vixQR

#motedisuQR (last version #pumaqr ) are based on resource simple to find in europe (http://motedis.de)

#vixQR (last version #pantherqr ) are based on resource more simple to find in US (http://openbuilds.com)

This a little semplification of frame models:

(Note. don’t import material of profile but commonly in market find aluminum profiles)

We dicided to make fixed name for next QR :
#PantherQR = openbuilds wheels on V-slot profile (suggested for US users)
#motediusQR = Italy wheels on motedis 2020 b6 profile (suggested for EU users)
#lynxQR = Hybrid openbuild wheels on motedis profile

Normaly exist other version varation for example corexyQR of Daniel F …but normaly we can call your build as you want :slight_smile:

Other important part of QR to know :

  • Frame how to prepare and build (you can decide your style as explain as explained before - more info on below guide)
  • rigidZstage and bends system (make update later)
  • Carriages pulley stepper (make update later)
  • Granty system (make update later)
  • Filament feeder (make update later)

This are 3 other part need know for make this 3d printer.

We never talk about eletronics or ramps/marlin configuration…because web are full of this guides.

as one of the guys who just stepped into this community i wonder what the italy wheels are? I saw them on some pics and in the BOM but can’t seem to find any more information about them (especially sourcing)

Hi Frank sourcing are me…spec. are display in some photos…if want resend you. i buy a stock because without large quantity impossible to have…genaraly this version of glass windows wheels are really difficult to find…i invest some money and industry make for me a batch … if you interest for more information can contact me privatly or QR are friend of OB wheels too :slight_smile:
