hay all I received the first part of my printer today and I am wondering how important is a heated printing surface and could I not use a reflective surface and reflect the heat from the extruder nozzle
If you want to print in ABS you’ll need a heated bed. A reflective surface won’t cut it, the issue is that ABS curls when it cools too quickly so the print bed itself has to be hot to slow the print’s cooling and prevent curling.
