Has anyone seen an ESP8266 module, 16mbit (4meg) flash with an external antenna connection?

Has anyone seen an ESP8266 module, 16mbit (4meg) flash with an external antenna connection?

google for ESP-07S it has 4m flash and ext. antenna connection.

@Alexander_Ribchansky thanks for the reply. I will check that out, looks promising.

Yeah I was gonna say ESP-07S also

Just ordered a few from eBay, they’ll be here sometime between next week and the end of June

@Gordon_McLellan end of June, china post is worse than USPS (if thats even possible)

@tyler_sarcastic_robe depends on how much you pay for shipping. If it’s 0-5 USD, you can’t expect ultra fast delivery.

You can also diy any of those with an external antenna by replacing the flash.

Wemos pro! They are great. http://Wemos.cc

Erm, why external antenna given that the likes of ESP12E has great internal antenna?

@Peter_Scargill I’ve used the 12F a lot, and its antenna is great compared to the 01 and the original 07. However, my application has the ESP inside a metal junction box, so the RF can’t get out. I’m using a u.fl to rp-sma pigtail and little rubber duck antenna.

Ah, fair enough. Yes, clearly you DO need an external antenna.

guys, switch to S modules, esp-12s & esp-07s, better antena, no useless down pins and… ta-da!! no need of externall pullup/pulldown on gpio0/2/15/rst

Alexander - I’m not seeing ANY “s” suffix board on AliExpress ???

Peter, here is it ESP-12S (ESP-12F upgrade) ESP8266 remote serial Port WIFI wireless module 2016 New version
http://s.aliexpress.com/EZF7VRRv

already tested and works bettet, than older, non-S versions.

Ebay have them but no confirmation of the pullups and pulldowns - want to send us a link as to where this info is?

Peter, I found module schematic on aithinker site somewhere, from phone now so very inconvient to search, but l hardware test it on my device, do not solder pullup/pulldown as usual and it works as a charm!

I wonder if that is guaranteed. I looked at the PDF document for the 12S - and saw no reference to new pullups or pulldowns. It would be very nice if this IS the case but without confirmation - clearly one would not want to design a board for this hoping that built in pullups etc are on all 12S designs. Thanks for the link. If antyone has separate confirmation that they’ve includes pullups and pulldowns it would be nice to know.

Peter, here is it, scroll down at page 15 there is schematic. The same as esp-07s.
