Guys i have 5.5W laser and want to know how can i calculate which value need to use in $30 to use full power. Im using the laser at 15000mm/min and dont know if laser power is at full. im using $30 = 1000, and in laserweb are using 100% and pwm max value 1000 too.

@Jose_Luis_Zanotti1 $30=1000 Is a valid value. Just place the same value in LW

The same value that I’m using… looks like is at full power then… but are not powerful enough then

Not powerfully for what?

well i see similar results to 2.5 Watts laser that i tested… but dont have both to test it right now just the 5.5W one… exist some kind of benchmark or similar to check if are working really at 100% or at least to know if quality is good enough?

Take a 10mm square and burn it at different power values.

Materials, focus and other factors also chime in

The focus is very important to get enough power on the material. Set the Focus with very low power (wearing the laser goggles) to a point as small as possible.
Also, lower the speed if you don’t get enough power.

You can’t expect to cut through playwood in one path, you would need many pathes to get through. Engraveing playwood is easy, or cutting cardboard.
