Funny willingly wobbling tool for CNC, to find edges. Some are $3 worth on ebay so I buy one "just in case"™. Learning everyday :slight_smile:

I also would like to use an edge finder, but the CNC I have on order will take an ER11 collet… I can’t find any affordable edge finders with a small enough shaft for this. Largest collet I could find for ER11 is 5/16".

Interesting idea. I don’t have a lathe, much less a hard steel lathe of the precision needed to keep the edge finder working well after being turned. Maybe I’ll ask around.

@Jason_Frazier idem, the next big tool to have at home (or is it a laser cutter? – then I will be a fablab at home!). Now, the metal of these low cost versions may not be hardened, who knows?
