For RPI project I’m thinking about CM3
https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/compute-module-3-launch/
for example, but they have another modules available like zero & CM1. Also, there are large # of “CPU Modules” available for AM 335x chip mostly Chinese made, but not within BB project. Here is one example available from amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/CM3358DN2-industrial-40-C-85-C-development-goembed-com/dp/B00RB3F5HC/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1505311500&sr=8-20&keywords=am335x.
I would like to use one of BB board for development & module for prototype. It would be nice if some would recommend the module for BB project with the price range of original BB board. I’m sure this addition will be appreciated.

Thank you for the image recommendation, BTW I like this project (BB) very much.
I appreciate your help.

I’m trying to move my project from RPI to BB. The main reason for this is the availability of PRU; that may save me a lot of logic circuits. What I found missing in BB project are Computational Modules (CM) that are available in RPI projects. There are couple of third party CM modules with Sitara available from $34 to $2k, but none part of the project. Also, introduction of new BB boards are little erratic; with PRI project, new boards have upgraded CPUs and all interfaces are left to the shields (capes). On the flip side, Sitara is a much better chip as the high end micro-controller.
Since, I’m new to BB project, I would appreciate if someone helps me with two questions:

       - if there is recommended CM for BB project, what is it?
       - What is the recommended image for BBB with no video and only UART console?

Thanx for help in advance.
