Finally getting back to my large format K40.

UPDATE: Yesterday saw me complete the final step to have full function, which was calibrating the step/mm, over 400mm I can’t even measure any error it is so small.

Beautiful thing about DIY in this case was I got rid of all the K40 centric oddities. So my Lightburn work area is oriented as my laser is so its WYSWIG instead of the K40 nonsense.
I will post up a few pic when the assembly is finalized, at this point I need to setup and install chain drags for the cabling and an enclosure with control panel for switches and GLCD and likely will go with honeycomb and downdraught ventilation.

Also by eliminating the CO2 laser I saved a ton by not needing an enclosure, so at the end of the day I am into this project for just under $1500 as I pirated only the C3D mini from my K40 which now has a Amazing controller.
