I’ve been playing around with some marquetry patterns and it occurred to me that backfilling the cutouts with tinted epoxy resin might look pretty interesting. The epoxy resin is translucent which really heightens the stain glass effect. They make great window pieces. For those who might be interested, I used Jacquard Pearl-Ex mica colorant (it’s amazing stuff).

So you are cutting the shape out of wood or similar and filling the voids with epoxy? They look awesome!
