Edge lit control panel - laser or CNC?

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask but …

Phase 3 (or 4…) of my K40 rebuild will involve a new control panel. I want to make this as flash as possible and use LED edge lighting.

When it comes to the engraving of acrylic, which is best - laser or CNC? My local Makers has a small CNC so either option is available.

I’d go laser, just because of the detail level.

Although I found the etch isn’t very clean, but that might just be me.

I would go with the laser as well. Be sure to use cast acrylic and not extruded. Cast acrylic engraves better.
