Was out on my morning walk the other day and came across this chest on the curb from a house a family was moving out of.
It’s cedar lined, but it’s not something I was interested in as project. But inside were some things that were clearly laser engraved. Probably a low watt diode laser.
The plaques are black walnut and I decided I could probably sand off the engravings and use for my own laser engravings.
Loaded up the orbital sander with some 60 grit sandpaper and went to work. Sorry Johnny.
Finished off with some 150 and 220 grit sandpaper. Not sure what I’m going to use them for yet, but free materials.
