Camerin hahn , is the openscad version printable?,

@Camerin_hahn , is the openscad version printable?, or i might be the first one?

I have printed some of the parts

cool, i might give it a try

If you have any issues let me know I can also help you make a rim profile and build it… The room profile I made the parts with is not universal

Fyi that is why I have not made one… have not decided on rims

i cannot use mavic rims, they are really expensive down here.

@shauki , why not use just a square top and bottom, instead or a rounded one?

and if i just cut 18mm mdf discs, i hold them together and drill them both at the same time?

In about 20 minutes I can rebuild the whole project with custom rim with whatever shape you desire. You need a few things.

  1. Number of holes,(even spacing)
  2. The shape of the inside of the rim
  3. The diameter of the rim from 0,0 of the dxf to the same spot on the other side.
  4. Width of the rim
  5. Max thickness of the rim.

At that point you change out the dxf, change these variables in the definitions file. Then ruin a Windows batch file… come back and you have brand new stls ready to print

Mdf has some flex to it… and absorbs water… but you can try. And you do need 3 “rims”

@Camerin_hahn how hard it would be to add screw fixing, so i can use an mdf sheet instead of a rim?.

True about the fex and humidity, but both things can be fixed.

I will look around for rims anyways

I am assuming you are asking about holes for screws… They already exist. As @shauki said.
