Back of the envelope calculation time.

Back of the envelope calculation time.

The H-1, with its 2.5m wingspan, has a wing area of ~1m^2. Assuming a stall speed of ~40km/hr (25mph), the plane all-in, could weigh up to 10kg. For a stall speed of ~60km/hr the plane could weigh up to 20kg.

Question, What’s a reasonable stall speed for a plane this size? I have no way of judging that. Any one have an idea?

Gonna have to think about this one. We need to quantify which rapid prototyping methods are viable.

I’m still a huge fan of the of the approach I took with the OpenRC Swift. Low density design considering the building materials I used.

What’s attracting me to molded designs is the potential for a reduced design workload.
