I did my K40 red dot laser combiner lens update with an American Photonics combiner. I like their style of doing things.

Hi Dougl. FYI. I had exactly this setup. About to change it.
Was using K40 outside. (Cutting acrylic). So cold that the air assist pipe became stiff. This caused the grab chain to twist when it neared the back wall (while I was getting coffee), pushing it into the path of the laser. Did you know that it will cut through the drag chain 
I had to create a mount for the laser head so the drag chain could just reach all the bed area and not have too much so to get fully into the way of the laser beam coming out of mirror #1. I would not have thought the unfocused beam could cut through a drag chain. And it ALWAYS seem to happen when “I just stepped away for xxxxx” happens. Always. LOL
