I grew up in Fla adjacent to the space program.
I watched the first missiles (more like rockets) fired from the tarmac at Patrick Air Force Base where my dad was an RCA engineer at the eastern test range.
My brother in law was a payload manager.
Its sad how our space program has been so diluted.
Here in the west we hear nothing of what is going on … it used to be exciting.
