For me the most compelling part of this process is that you can melt and re-use the material. I’m pretty sure I would not get things right the first time and this way I could reduce cost and waste.

Wonder if you can do this with normal silicone kit.

no, I’d print two halfs of a solid mold, which could be separated when the material hardened.

There are also a lot of wheel designs out there with varying amounts of springiness that can be printed directly, and embellished with rubber bands or O rings. Still, mold making is quite useful.

I would love to try composimold, but shipping from the USA is simply insane: $20 for the product, $42 for shipping. Seriously?
