I’m using a homemade laser that I’ve had for over a year. It’s a 90w co2 with a Ruida RDC6445S (EC) controller. I have the water sensor tied to the lid switch so they both have to be closed to fire the laser eliminating wiring the water protection to the controller. While in Lightburn’s a couple days ago I was in the
machine setting, I for some reason turned on water protection which should be off. Fastforward two day and forgetting I changed some settings in the controller, I’m trying to cut something and the protection won’t turn off, so messing around with the power supply water protection jumper I turned the controller on and once in a while homing it bugs out and doesn’t stop at the limit switch and grids to the side. after shutting it down and rebooting the controller both the X and Y axis won’t move! They seem like you changed the step value to 50,000. They violently vibrate back and forth making a griding noise. I’ve made sure all the wires are good. I didn’t mess with any of the motor controller wires prior to messing with it bugging out. Made sure there was no sorts in any of the power supply wires that I was playing with prior. Everything is perfect. The Z axis works perfect. I’ve rebooted the system, reapplied old settings, I did a factory reset to the controller, unplugged one driver at a time. nothing makes a difference. they will not move, just grind. With the power off the belts and motors move perfect. I’m out of ideas!
