Why is JSON stopping and shutting down serial port before code is finished executing?

“Hit end of file on serial port” can only come from the operating system, so it’s your OS shutting down your port, not ChiliPeppr. ChiliPeppr is just responding to the OS. So, the better question is why is your OS shutting it down. My guess would be that the USB connection dropped maybe due to bad cable? Power loss on TinyG? Power dip? Noise/interference?

That’s possible, please use command “screen” to start the spjs. Then u can close the terminal. Reconnect terminal and call “screen -x” and u refresh the screen session.

Yes, check your settings. I changed mine so the screen never goes off while printing and on closing the laptop because I did that a couple of times accidentally.
