Who has looked at the Make Zine Guide to 3D printing?

Who has looked at the Make Zine Guide to 3D printing? What is that sample print from the Printrbot LC on page 73? What is the material and why do you think the columns are warped? I find it strange that the quality is noticeably different from the Printrbot Jr.

It’s PLA, and it looks like it was running way too hot.

Thanks. I would think they say something about the print quality of the sample, or just do it over, but correctly.

I suspect it was printed at ABS temps. Printrbot has typically been an ABS machine and I think most of their documentation assumes ABS filament. I’d like to see a proper comparison between the LC & Jr as I think the Jr is generally capable of better prints.

I know they tried to be fair in the testing but there are so many variables to test on each machine I doubt they had the same filament one each bot or time to test multiple temps. But I may be wrong.
