If we want proper and correct and clear terminology, I recomend “bowden” vs “non-bowden” and “mechanically reduced speed” vs “mechanically non-reduced speed”. These are seperate topics and should not be confused. You can use gears or pulleys or screw drives to reduce extrusion speed and still have a choice between using a bowden tube or just feeding it directly into the hotend (hotend is not coldend).
