Whats wrong with my laser cutter? (no clean and smooth cuts)

Hello,
I have a huge 100 watts laser cutter and I use laser cutter 5.3 to control it, I’ve recently started cutting 6mm black plexiglass, at first I could get a clean perfect cut at speed 2 and power 100% but now when I try the same speed and power I get bumpy cuts and not smooth cuts with the same material.
what is the problem?
what should I do?
Thank you

On any laser having power output problems the first two things to do is look for the lens/laser being out of focus and look for dirty lens and mirrors.

If that doesn’t work then you look at the output of the CO2 laser at the first mirror by turning down the power enough to get a brown ‘burn’ on paper at mirror #1 and if it’s not a nice round circle your tube is aging.

Did you read through the K40 Into FAQ on the top of this page? If not, stop what you’re doing, spend and hour or two reading all the way through even if you don’t need or have certain features/addons. The info is incredibly informative and usually useful now or later on.
