What’d up with blade #3? Mathematical precision? Slicer issue? As you might surmise, it looks normal in Cura.
It would help if you gave us some info about your setup.
It’s an ingentis variant, prints rather well, cartesian, GT2 belt driven. I just noticed my android phone randomly oriented each picture. Two are of good looking aerofoils and the third has an odd stairstep pattern.
When I go to print the top part of the windmill, I’ll rotate the part 30 degrees and see if that changes anything.
Sounds like a definite Cura problem to me. What version are you using?
15.02…printing the top now, it’ll be another 30 minutes or so before I can tell if it’s still doing it rotated.
Must be the slicer…it’s doing it on the other part, and it’s rotated a good 120 degrees from before. I’ll give slic3r a shot after this.
I noticed that the one blade is directly atop of a tape joint. I wonder if it could be caused by z axis inconsistencies due to the tape junction.
That’s not it…I’ll start another thread with print #2 (Sure wish we could add pics to an existing thread.)
