What can I do to avoid the darker burned edges on this engraving? My speeds are 300/150 @6mA.

Sorry. I’m using Smoothie. I do have firmware-cnc. My min/max: 5%-100% (6mA being the ceiling).

I am not using the two pin config. My PSU actually requires the dual pin configuration (LO PSU), but it always capped out at 10mA, and with that configuration I couldn’t use a pot. So I went to the same setup that’s used with the stock K40 PSU (5V, G, L).
Acceleration is 12k.

I did try faster dark but apparently I was wrong about the 6mA ceiling from my first post because it didn’t burn nearly as dark. It does look nice though. https://plus.google.com/photos/…
