What can be done to dual shooting lasers

Hey there Guys.

I am new in this lasery world - like many of you I bought a K40 to begin with. Went ahead and design my own: “The White Beast”
I started with a 40w tube a LPS that matches this and a cloudray ruida DSP controller. Recently I also opted for the 5200 chiller unit and put it in constant mode.

Lately I am afraid that my tube is dying on me. And having read all you smart folks tips and tricks I can understand that what I am seeing is TEM01 mode on the tube = two dots (half moons) and I guess there is no other fix than to buy a new tube??
I will go for a bigger one since my machine is designed for 850mm by 650mm.

Is my tube dead, or is there still hope…?

Hi,
If you are getting multiple spots on the first mirror then it is almost certain your tube has gone bad. Sorry to say there is nothing to fix that and you will need a new tube.

How do you do that ?? I was trying to do that earlier??!!

Yeah thought as much - I tried to do some better alignment, and until the new tube arives, it cuts pretty okay, 4 mm ply 5m/s 20mA

My best option for posting pictures ??

Makes sense. I don’t have that option though.

I’m sure your os will allow a drag and drop on the reply window.

Be aware if you’re cutting slow, like you are, the start speed set on the controller determines where minimum power starts to be applied.

If you have a minimum and maximum value and run at or below the start speed you will only get minimum power.

How long is your tube, that seems to be the best indicator of watts out.

Hey… Yeah the tube is pretty new actually… My build is also very new… I will look at what you’re saying… My amp meter is showing the full 20 mA when cutting…
