Use of the word Web in any name implies that it is hosted in the cloud, and not locally run. Could be confusing.

@funinthefalls true… but one of the architecture features I like is that it runs out of a browser.

What are its differentiating characteristics:

-Intelligent and full featured control
… of any CNC capable device
…through a rich browser interface
… including integrated CAM
…using Gcode
…delivered as open source

… what name does that suggest?

OpenCNC
(open things in LaserWeb: browser, Gcode, open source)

I searched this name and although there are remnants on Source Forge doesn’t seem to be active.

i like that OpenCnC sound better to me than CnCWeb

+Peter van der Walt there ya go … the operative word “OLD” … cant you use it for this?

+Peter van der Walt Ok then “OpenCnCWare” …

That reminds me I still need to put mine together
