for Mac user & java issue, Java 8 is useless for installing VisiCut.
To open Visicut just Java 6 is the one.
You must know Java 6 can cohabit with the latest java 8 in Os 10.10. None of them are installed by default.
As Apple link is dead, you can get it there :
