Video from first test of a 3D printed solar powered wind propeller.

Video from first test of a 3D printed solar powered wind propeller. It works! Motor taken from a old CD-ROM tray.

I think I’m missing something…
What’s unusually here that “works”??
The shape of three blades that were printed?
The solar panels? I assume it was an off-the-shelf/retail purchase?
Or the fact it’s all hooked to a old motor from a CD-ROM?

If the fascination here is the nature of the three bladed prop; I’m afraid it doesn’t look to be design that will produce much wind… :-S Assuming the whole purpose is a solar driven personal fan of sorts?
…I’m confused by the accomplishment thus far? Sorry… :-S

@Michael_Hulme this project is just a test to make a 3d printed desktop toy powered by solar panel. Think of it as a kinetic sculpture.

Well done!. I have a small motor that spins a lot faster powered from a similar solar panel (LED garden lamp). My motor spins a small RC plane propeller and is currently running all day in my window
