Version 1.77 released of Serial Port JSON Server. This version fixes the “stalling” that some folks were seeing on larger jobs and jobs with very short gcode moves. Garbage collection (GC) in Go was causing random pauses. GC now happens more vigorously thus no long pauses thus no missed responses from the CNC controller.
@Brandon_Satterfield you should have perfect runs now on this version.
Oh, this version also has that hot little red square double-arrow icon which lets you restart the SPJS remotely from ChiliPeppr. On many Linux platforms the serial port still doesn’t close correctly, so force restarting SPJS is a great way to clean it up.
@Alex_Lee run this.
John, you are amazing man!
Let me know your collet size and shoot me an addy on hangouts, like to show my appreciation.
Headed out to the shop to kill what I’m running now and fire up a new job on your amazing product!
@jlauer for president!
@Brandon_Satterfield if you find that your browser is really slow btw, just disable the 3D viewer for now during your 6 hour run (or 12 hours, whatever crazy long runs you do). Remember, SPJS is currently setup to only support 25,000 lines queued, so you need your browser functioning to queue in the rest of the lines once there’s room for them.
Sweet! Thank you John, don’t forget to hit me up man.
