UGH, OK never mind. did not delete everything. still have filament profiles but printer profiles got nuked. Just never mind its all hard and frustrating, this thing called life…

Sounds like S3D fritzed out?

yeah, I was trying to use the ‘dual extrusion wizard’ in s3d and it advised over and over I had to use the configuration helper, which then wiped out my printer profiles (what they call a ‘process’), but not my filament profiles. no idea why it doesn’t simply add a printer configuration to the list of ‘process’, as s3d calls them, without removing any previously created. Instead it deletes any existing ‘process’ before adding the new one. I had many created for different situations.

great, downloaded the newest version of S3D and now it crashes trying to set it up over and over again… can’t even slice now. Can anyone advise on setting up S3D for dual color with a switching hotend setup using a splitter?
