TwoTrees TTS-10 for first laser?

Dear Members,

I would like to buy my first laser cutter/engraver. I would like to choose the TwoTrees TTS-10 10W engraver. Do you have experience with this machine? Would you recommend it? What can I expect from these cheaper priced machines? I would like to use it for learning, for some hobby-production, not for huge commercial production. I heared that the major problem of these machines is the speed. Is it really so slow? What other machines can you recommend in this price range (the TwoTrees machine is around 340 dollars with honeycomb and with air assist kit).

I have no knowledge of this brand, but that machine looks fine. It’s based on common components, looks well designed, has nice touches such as the rulers laid out around the bed.
Something you should also think of adding to it is some sort of enclosure for fume extraction. Engraving wood makes fine particles smoke and a bad smell, plastic makes deadly fumes, you need extraction since both of these can damage your health.
