Two limit switches on one pin? Time, once again,

Two limit switches on one pin?

Time, once again, to seek help from people far smarter than me.

On my Anet A8, the induction Z-probe connects to the z-min limit socket on the control board – so the z-min switch is no longer connected (and has been removed).

In the x and y home position, the induction probe is no longer situated above the metal bed, so it doesn’t know when to stop dropping along the z-axis.

Using the old z-min switch as a z-max switch on top of the printer would allow me to home in the front, left, upper corner of the printer.

The question…

Using a (homemade) Y-harness, can I connect the induction z-probe, and the z-max switch to the same connection point on the board?

I’m hoping that when the extruder rises to the home position, the Z-max switch will stop it, and then the induction sensor will be used for z-probing.

I probably could… if someone gave me a step-by-step manual to follow.

At this point I’m like a guy who owns a power saw, and knows how to cut wood with it, but doesn’t know how to rewind the motor coils to get more power out of it.
