Today I finished the design of the carriages for my Kossel XL. I’m pretty happy with the result.The renders are made in Fusion 360. I test printed one and it ran smoothly on the 2020 extrusion. Now on to the next phase: the effector! Still a very long way to go before I can start with the assembly. I’m glad I didn’t went for a standard kit but instead decided to design my own, it’s so much more fun
@Ross_Bagley Mine is 58mm but I still have room to make it narrower if I want. I’m still designing my effector so it might change in the end.
Are you using delrin wheels? Tell me about the torsional resistance
@Purple_Sensation yes I’m using delrin wheels but I’m not sure about the technical specifications of them. I’m still designing the parts. Once I can start assembling and test run the printer I will definitely post the results here.
