Thought this might be of interest to the group. I just found out about it from the last post on 3D printed RC shocks

I wanted to get into this, but PLA is not strong enough, nor is ABS. This kind of print needs Nylon, which I’m not setup to print (yet).

@Shachar_Weis any printer that will print ABS will print Nylon. And you’re not entirely correct regarding the strength of ABS/PLA. MANY of the parts on this machine are PLA/ABS with select pieces being Nylon for strength.

You also don’t need a heated bed for Nylon either. It will print on a plywood surface. Depending on how close you get to the surface, it can rip splinters up, but they can be sanded off.

Thats interesting, I didn’t know what. I’ve only printer PLA so far, it’s been good to me and I didn’t feel the need to experiment with ABS or get a hotplate.
