This might more a TinyG Wiki question but I will try here first as many of you may have done a 3040 CNC mod. So the X,Y, and Z axis connectors each have 2 yellow and 2 red leads. I assume that they are pairs? Meaning on the TinyG I would connect all Reds => to A1,A2 on each axis and all Yellows => B1,B2 respectively to each axis? Just being extra sure I understand.

Check for continuity between the pairs. That’s how you know. I don’t trust Chinese color coding.

So if a get continuity on the Red for example, Those two belong together?

Yeah that would be a set of A’s or B’s

Thanks a bunch! Just got done cutting the slot for the USB to fit. Tomorrow I’m headed to lowes to buy some reasonable standoffs to match the height the board needs for support. This is my first CNC, so I am trying to thorough.

Simple trick without electricity is to connect two wires then turn the motor to feel torque resistance, the pairs have higher resistance. Post images of what you make.

Here is the tinyG connection Wiki in case you have not found it https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/wiki/Connecting-TinyG#wire-your-motors
