These are my experiences with building a Sells Mendel from Zprinter parts. Even though i spent upwards of 200 hours trying to get this sucker to work (and fixing Zprinted parts), it was still worth it - it was the first printer i built and it taught me a lot about how these things work. It got me hooked on RepRap and caused me to spend even more time trying to improve stuff, building more machines, trying things out and generally having fun

Mendel chatarra is almost finished. The PCB heatbed arrived today. and will hopefully cure warpage problems. Note all the failed z-printed parts below!
We’re working hard on getting all parts printed in ABS before the whole machine falls apart.
Even with most parts beat up like this, we can print at up to 3000mm/min with minor detail loss.
