I got a kit like that off AliExpress for about USD$40 some years ago for a custom printer build and it worked just fine. It included a heated bed too for that price. Actually, I bought two of them from different sellers assuming I’d have to work around doa parts, and both worked fine.

I’d rather spend the little bit extra for a RUMBA with proper fuses, dual voltage capabilities and twice the FETs, among other things.
Obviously there’s way better boards out there but its worth it just for the LCD. My first printer thats 4 years old has this exact same setup and is still going strong.
