This is my first "tall" print,

This is my first “tall” print, meaning something that is taller than it is wide. I think I’ve got the settings pretty well set though I want to try improving the speed. This tiny thing took nearly 5 hours.

Question. Inside are a bunch of thin strands. They aren’t support. It’s sort of like they were drawn when the printer went to the next level.

I also noticed the lower levels aren’t as smooth and uniform as the upper ones.

Printrbot Simple: 1.75 PLA. 2mm layer height. 1.0 extrusion factor. 200C

I find I get this stringing when I am 1-2 degrees to warm, you could increase reaction, or decrease temp.

I also will get this also if to hot with PLA. I increasing retraction as well. Could try about 4mm at 150mm/sec. Some hotends just are not as good as others for PLA no mater what you try.
