This has been around a little while, apparently, but I just recently saw the machine in person and the prints from it is fantastic. Layers down to 1 um, and pixel size of 27 um – that’s 0.027 mm – for those that need the precision/quality, it’s worth knowing about.

We saw these guys at Design2Part too and spoke to them for a while. The prints looked great, but the machine is the same basic technology (with a shorter focal distance for higher detail in a smaller build volume) as as a B9Creator for 3x the price with really expensive proprietary (single-source) resin. And of course, it’s not even a little bit open.

@Whosa_whatsis so much like the current MBI business model, huh. I wasn’t too bothered by open source projects going non open, until I bought a replicator for work and own an open source printer at home. After paying for maker care, it’s irritating that reprap forums get me the answers to issues faster than maker care. And the same problems appear on both printers, albeit much less often on the replicator

Such a tiny, tiny build volume. (Sigh)
