This filament feed issue on the #makibox is annoying. I’m curious how this even got past the “beta” boxes. I have plenty of recommendations for a fix, but shouldn’t this just work out the box? Shouldn’t this work for more than a few prints! #makible
I asked cutomer support what to do about it…
What’s your issue? I’m not familiar with the makibox filament extruder, do you need to tighten the tension on the extruder (actually the compression the extruder gear applies on the filament). Can you feed filament by hand easily? If not, your nozzle is clogged, or your temp is too low. Troubleshooting extrudes is a universal pita. Good luck
It is a filament drive designed just for the makibox and there is a plastic wheel on it that will not turn(it is supposed to). So the zen drive eats into the filament and over a few prints the drive losses tension . At least that is my understanding. An alternative extruder should be everyone’s first print at this time. That’s my recommendation.
Having the same issues.
Apparently on the first batch all injection moulded parts turned out too big but +Makible. Shipped them anyway.
The wheel is an injection moulded part too.
@Makible do u guys have any plans to modify the zen drive? Any news on that would be appreciated @Jonathan_Buford1
@Marcus_Wolschon I finally got the airtripper yesterday, but now I have to find the right hardware for it.
I ordered mine with everything except the small ball bearing.
