Thin wood business cards

Hello - I’ve seen some very cool laser-etched wooden business cards. Where can you buy wood sheets that thin? Done some searching online (veneers? blanks?) but haven’t found quality thin wood. Ideas?

There are veneers as thin as 0.6mm. Not sure if you want to go that thin, but there are a few options. Maybe bond two layers together?

.6mm veneers, 49" x 97". Carbonized Horizontal and Natural and Carbonized Vertical. Sheet count varies.

Just two of many with a quick search.

I think I had got some from Lee Valley Tools at one time.

The wood mentioned in the links above look pretty thick (for example, 2mm). The reason I asked for veneer (and perhaps that’s not the right term) - looking for those very thin ones, which are slightly bendable. Wish I still had it, but I received one from a wood-worker, based out of a maker-space in Austin (ASMBLY). Felt like the thickness of cardstock paper, but it was real wood.

How would you describe this, so I can find this product online?

( Perhaps 2mm-thick cards could be useful though…)

Thanks!

I’ve bought ply sheets down to 1/2 mm at modelmakers shops.
