These new features in slic3r 0.9.9 look interesting, but I don’t see any interface for using them:

ability to use multiple different layer heights in the same object
ability to cut parts of a model

Anyone know how to use these?

Looks like the multiple-layer interface is added with https://github.com/alexrj/Slic3r/commit/f670acb4b15fc3c2bc1cf47a2adb98b4408326c7#L1R18

So: Plater/double-click object/layers it looks like you have to enter something on the next row to get the layer override to save.

Now I hope for the same interface to change amount of infill. I have found it really handy to create two GCode files when printing figures. High infill in the head and other tricky parts.

@Tom_Oyvind_Hogstad for someone new to the practice, know of any good/clear guides on how to splice gcode code files together?

@Miles_Wilford Richrap explains it in this post, about 2/3 of the way down: http://richrap.blogspot.co.nz/2012/01/slic3r-is-nicer-part-2-filament-and.html?m=1
