Perfect timing, I’m going to try my first board today.

Any advancement on backside milling?

I think it would take further community help

I know it got so far but I’ve had a house fire so am in rented accommodation until that has been sorted so was hoping it had changed since the summer :frowning:

Very nice explain, @jlauer do you think the drilling is not deep enough?

The drilling is too deep and there is no way to set the depth. It says same as board depth but it seems twice as deep as board

Perhaps it means depth of “side” rather than board. A simple terminology issue?
I’ve used this and found it is excellent but use a proper endmill not one of the v bit type.

@jlauer , do u think it’s a metric/imperial bug? Can you check the gcode, how deep he will drill?

I looked at the code. It looks like -1.7 is hard coded and if you check the box “same as board depth” it doesn’t actually update the drill depth in the code. I’ve never milled a board thinner than 1.6 so now I realize this bug has been there all along.

If u like i can fix this.

Yeah that would be awesome

So now is fixed and online.

@Frank_Herrmann thank you so much for the fix. Awesome.
