The Onsemi AMIS-30532 Stepper Driver looks very interesting.
It has SPI interface, adjustable output slope to reduce EMI and 1.6A capability (another family member can do 3A).
The problem I see in using it is the order quantity. Everyone seems to be selling them in reel quantities (2500 pieces). which is a bit costly.
Does anyone know of a source for smaller quantities of this device?
