The infrared thermometer sensor seems useful for monitoring temperature of the printed object.
Though perhaps wireless aspect is overkill as you can just as easily tack a wired TMP006 somewhere on the printer.
Ir has a tendency to give bad results. The aim is particularly important. At 2 inches it may read one thing at 3 another. etc. I use a thermocouple .
