The cheapest filament source that I have found to date, they are selling ABS for 19 bucks/ kg reel and I think they will have PLA for the same. They look new, anyone tried these guys yet?

$16 per kg from #Makible. Full disclosure, I do work for Makible.
I can’t attest to quality, but $28.32 shipped (1Kg PLA) isn’t a bad price for Push Plastic. Makible looks okay, but doesn’t have PLA, other than 1Lb rolls, plus their ABS is shown as a 4-6 WEEK lead time before shipping!
#makible also has an terrible reputation for slipping lead times without informing the customers.
ABS is shipping now (and has been for some time) while the “slipping lead times” is in regards to a product that was still in active development. We’re quite aware of the issue regarding “timeframes” and the promises made in that regards, but we’re actively working to fix that.
It’s 1kg spools, not lbs. The 4-6 weeks is an estimation in regards to manufacturing it. We currently have a large stock (in the range of tons).
And just to clarify, not trying to start anything. Just providing options. I’d be interested to see the quality from Push Plastic. The industry is (relatively) young and I personally want to see success for all sides.
@Elliott_Polk Sorry, when I looked up PLA, I didn’t get the listing I got when I checked again just now. Still, if you have “tons”, why still show a 4-6 week lead time?
Generally, retailers will put a lead time on products if there is manufacturing required even if stock is available. This is our manufacturing lead time, tho we could word it better or add a nice little popover explaining it a bit more.
Yes if you are in US… from European customers it the amount of transportation and taxes make it much more expensive. I suggest buy to PLABS 3D good service, products and price…
