Newest effort for a special person and occasion. This was a challenge. The wood was retrieved from my long term storage shed and I estimate it to be close to 10 years old. I do not know the wood type.
This was a challenge as the wood was very hard and dry. The internal of the blank was full of cracks and voids and in the middle bottom was a hunk of cement, seriously!
I filled the voids with copper and epoxy and finished the bowl in many cycles of lacquer followed by sanding.
