The object of this exercise was to see how accurate i could reproduce curves and fine detail with my setup on a small scale as indicated by the size of the keys on the keyboard.

I use too Linux Cnc from few years: never disappointed by this soft…Always Perfect!
60 deg V-Bit. 0.04 depth. About 80mm/minute feed rate. Spindle speed = as fast as my little 300w
will go and lots of silicon spray which seems to work a bit better then WD-40.
@Steve_Slese I have heard candle wax is a good lubricant for cutting aluminium. I will have to give it a try. But I will keep silicon spray in mind and I use WD40 for tapping holes.
