Take 2: bolted the work piece directly to the table this time. Hopefully this will hold better. I’m also stepping at .250" instead of .500" so it won’t be as much force on the work piece. I could probably use a new router bit too.
Looks like the you are missing some support under the pice you are working on, if so you would lack stability and get less precision.
There’s a 1/4" plank of scrap wood under it. It’s not the full size if the work piece, but it’s large enough that the new mounts seem to be holding well. The program goes all the way down to Z0.000 (bottom surface of the work piece) and I don’t want to mess up my table.
