Sovol SV08: an assembled Voron, good OSHW, for $600?

I know that more than a few of us have struggled with buying large-ish fast FMD printers with Prusa dropping the ball, Bambu Lab being pretty closed, and other printers as wildcards. So, I was excited to see this Maker’s Muse review of the Sovol SV08. It runs plain old Klipper, the specs are fully shared in a public repo, and it’s based on a Voron design that I kind of wanted to build anyway.
Oh, and the base model is $600.

Looks easy to enclose, too!

Not clear from Sovol SV08 Original 64-bit Silent Mainboard with TMC2209 Driver whether there is IO broken out to add control for heater and filtration, though.

Does this help?

Only as showing that their docs don’t point out headers that would obviously work for additional control for enclosure heating and a filter fan. Unless there are more on the back or something?

Lack of a SV08 multi-filament peripheral is a problem for me but this is interesting.

The mainboard in that video doesn’t look to me like the picture above, but I couldn’t tell what was open…
