Sorry for the French.

Sorry for the French. This is the announce for a free non-tech conference this Friday in at UQUAM Montreal. I’m not affiliated with the organization. The subject of this conference seems to be more about the the idea, shared by many, that 3D printing will change the world. And how this idea itself is in the continuity of other utopian believes among engineers.

Looks interesting, based on study of Reprap project apparently, I hope there will be a translation. I think it is fair to say /some/ engineers have utopian ideals, studies suggest that engineers as a group have more conservative views than average. I guess the difference between engineers and other disciplines is that engineers might think they can actually create the hoped for utopian society through technology, rather than just talk about it like “political scientists”.
