The remaining machining is just drilling and tapping. If I have to make some changes, I’ll be sure to shoot some video.
Beautiful work. But it looks awful heavy. The stiffness of 6000 aluminum is much higher than most(maybe all) printed plastics so you should be able to remove a ton of material without compromising performance. Hand machined or CNC?
Cnc machined. I want to check the geometry first before I mess with weight relief too much. Its for a Cartesian style printer so weight isn’t a huge factor.

I haven’t assembled it yet. Once I finish assembling my Folger Tech FT-5 and it’s up and running, I’ll put this extruder together and replace some of the other printed parts on the Mendel90
